Do you guys get free loaners when taking your car in for free scheduled maintenance?

My dealer does, however, I've only had an Audi loaner 2 times when taking it in for ANY reason. Kind of disappointing when I see Mercedes E-Class loaners from the dealer in Boerne rolling around all over the place.

My local Audi dealer gives free loaners for warranty work and free scheduled maintenance. They actually have an Enterprise desk at the dealer. So you don't receive Audi loaners, but a free car none the less.

3 out of 4 times I've brought my car in, I've been given a non Audi rental through the Enterprise desk at my dealership. I was given an A3 loaner one time when my car was in for warranty work. The three times I was given a rental were scheduled maintenance appointments, so maybe they just give out Audi loaners for warranty work at my dealership?

I do if I drop the car and leave it over night. If not, I have to go through Enterprise. So, I normally just drop it off after work, and take a loaner and then drop it off the next day...

Its also an insurance thing. If the dealer is an llc alot of times they wont give them out. Now if its warranty work they cant get done in one day, audi will allow them to put you into a rental.

I get a loaner but its a $10 surcharge (per day I believe, but I've never been in longer than 1 day, so I dunno). They also offer free car service to drop you off somewhere nearby if you'd rather do that.

The loaner is almost always an Audi...

Never had a loaner, only rentals from the Hertz people (free at least). This is at Audi of Alexandria (VA).

Policy is: for work that will take over 1 day, you are entitled to an Audi loaner. The dealer is not required to provide a loaner otherwise. However, service writers do have the ability to provide one at no cost if they see fit, but it will likely be an Enterprise/Hertz rental. So I'll say it again, if the work is over 1 day, you are ENTITLED to an Audi loaner, and it is not typical that you will receive one while the car is in for schedule maintenance. YMMV but that is the policy I saw on the wall at Commonwealth in Santa Ana, CA.

Last week I did my 45k (free) ~ my closest dealer said no to a free rental/loaner; but another dealer said come on in and hooked it up with the Enterprise daily rental for free (however it was a Ford Focus which really blew lol)

Depends on the dealer. Years ago yes you would get a loaner if you booked well in advance. Dealers had limited number of loaners to go around. From their perspective these are all depreciating assets that they're eating of course.

Nowadays, fewer and fewer dealers are providing loaners. If you need a loaner during a free scheduled maintenance, most should be able to get you a rental from enterprise or something and they'll pick up the bill, though you'll have to cover the gas - based on my experience.

I drive for my job. So a shuttle to a stationary place basically means a day off that I don't have. :/ Cheapskates.

I've brought my car in a total of 3 times, 2 were scheduled maintenance, and one was for TPMS problem. All 3 times I've gotten a loaner, free of charge as long as I called in about a week before to reserve one. They never questioned me asking for a loaner when the work took less than a day either.

All cars were from the dealership as well, an A4, A3, and a G35 (Dealership is part of Auto group). So in that regard, I do feel like I am getting the luxury treatment for buying a luxury car.

P.S. I just noticed you're from Oklahoma spitfire, I wonder why I never see you roll around b/c I would definitely notice a debadged White TI.

I get one each time I bring it in for free. I have an 07 and I have the audi care package for free. I have read that they stopped giving the audi care package out for free in 07? Am I mistaken on what the Audi care package is? I have yet to pay a penny for oil changes or each scheduled maintenance visits and I did not pay extra for a package when I purchased the car.

What dealer? I'm in MI. After I bitched, Lavery told me I could get a loaner if I wanted to schedule the appt two weeks out.

Same. Its the beauty of Porsche/Audi dealers, as opposed to VW/Audi dealers.

The local Mission Viejo dealership provides us free loaner cars on a first come first serve basis - the latest and greatest so we'll be encouraged to purchase a newer version.

If for some reason they are out of loaners, they will cover the cost for Enterprise rental.

I've gotten loaners at all trips in that I've had booked far enough in advance (and the couple of unscheduled visits). Some of my scheduled work I've sat in the waiting room since I d/n schedule in advance. I called another Audi dealer that's closer to my job to schedule a 65k maintenance and they wouldn't give me a loaner because I didn't buy from them....after a little bit she agreed to set me up with a loaner. I didn't buy my car from either dealership and all of my loaners have been an A4.

Both of the Audi dealers I've bought from provide free service loaners whenever you take the car in if you bought the car from them. If you didn't buy the car from them, I think they only give loaners for warranty repairs. They have a few B8 A4s and some other Audis they use for loaners, but when they run of out those you guy some typically terrible American thing from Enterprise. Oh well...gets me to work.

My dealer, Roger Jobs in Bellingham WA, has several audi loaners. first come, first served. They have B8 A4s. I have to say, I really like my B7 so much more. Can't stand the plasticy feel to the radio/dash and really hate the push button parking brake. how the hell do you do power slides in the snow with this push botton parking brake? No thanks.

on the time's i haven't received a loaner, no survey call.

Ive gotten an Audi loaner twice and one time they gave me some POS rental chevy or something. This is where audi falls short big time. I didnt buy a German car to drive some piece of shit around when something goes wrong (and we all know on audis, stuff goes wrong.) When I had my BMW M3, they had a FLEET of bmw loaners. The service techs would let me pick what i wanted after i got mad that they gave me a pinkish X3 that got me made fun of by my customers. After that, on nice days id get z4 verts and even a z4 coupe. They even loaned me a 330Ci with a manual one time! Worse case scenario though, when they had to farm out my loaner, I still got a Volvo for a loaner, not the kia minivan my Audi dealer tried to put me in last time.....

Yup, A4 B7 usually with all the logos of the dealership on it. Your experience with loaners will vary from dealer to dealer. The BMW dealership here contracts out with Enterprise. They have a few loaners too but unless you are driving a more recent 7 series or M car you probably won't get one.

I also go to Audi of Alexandria for warranty/free service work. First dealt with Dion and never got a loaner, he said they only provide loaners to people that purchased a car there.

Now I deal with Brad and he is great! I've gotten a loaner just about everytime I ask for one, always a B8 A4 but they have A3 loaners also. But he does say that it's first come, first served for the loaners.

Twice I've had to be in rentals cars from the Hertz desk, a Maxda 5 and a Kia Rio . Luckily, I was only in the rental for a day or two until they got me into an Audi loaner.
