    Adding aux input

I know this has been covered I've searched around a bit but I have not found a conclusive step by step solution. I have a 2007 2.0T with RNS-E but no bose. I am looking to add an aux input. From this thread http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...18#post4046918 it seems to be do-able. However I was curious if anyone who has the keys to their RNS-E could post pictures of the supposed left-aux, right-aux, and aux-ground connections before I go out and buy the stereo keys and start to try this. In addition will I have to update my software/firmware before using the VAGCOM?

Yea I was just reading that exact post actually, now my question is if I get a 2009 navi disk in the US will it automatically update to the 260 software?

If not I am curious how to easily update my software to version 260. I have version 650 but I feel like it may be a bit of a headache to update to a european software version.

and yes, if you pick up the '09 disc, when you put it in, it will start the upgrade automatically. This is assuming you're running US software with a version < 0260

if you plan on using US maps...don't plan on using EU software...

    Re: Adding aux input

Well I just went to the Audi dealership to try to use an '09 disk to update and they were really obnoxious about helping me. The service guy said he couldnt because he would be held responsible for any damage as if an official update would cause any harm. The sales manager was going to charge me for the new disk and when i mentioned I was under warranty they said that their warranty doesnt cover software. In order to do this legally one must buy the new dvd for over $100 which defeats the purpose entirely.
