yeah, would like to get that look. Unfortunately can't get it with just springs (at least not yet). The lowest drop for springs are 1.5" front - 2" rear H&R Super Sport. and Eibach Pro-kit 1.4" f/r. I'm waiting for H&R's Race or Eibach's Sportline.

nght&day_b8 : can you please post more pictures of your car with stock wheels on H&R Sport springs.

skyler@acthuning : can you please post more pictures of the Ibis White B8 with 20s on H&R Sport springs.

Anyone has H&R Super Sport on his/her B8? thanks

Re: Show and Tell Your Suspension Setup!

    So i'm confused.
    H&R Sport: 1.5F & 1.5R
    H&R Super Sport: 1.5F & 2.0R

So with the Super Sport, the rear would be slammed while the front still has a considerable fender gap?

    Correct.

But this is for the sedan.

Too make things even more confusing, the H&R Sport spring for the Avant is a 1.2" drop front and rear.

See the H&R catalog for springs.

So how's that super sport going to help in the looks department, when I have 2-1/4" Front and 2" Rear tire-fender gap?

That's going to be 3/4" Front and 0" Rear gaps afterward?

Hard to tell, kind of why I started this thread so everyone could post the actual results since the suggested drop from H&R has been less than the actual....

    Wheels:
    Front - HRE 547R ET37 20x9"
    Rear - HRE 547R ET42 20x10.5"

    Tires:
    Front - Pirelli P-Zero Nero 245/35/20
    Rear - Pirelli P-Zero Nero 275/30/20

but I'm thinking to go with my Rial Daytona Race 19" sets instead.. that's why I'm looking for something lower than "sport". Just love the way the drop looks on Blake_P's car, but looking for alternative from his coilover

It looks pretty sharp at first glance, but I see too much mass on the chasis for such an aggressive drop. Car looks like it wants be younger again and run behind the chick skirts like old times hey babe, you need a ride? I'm still a lowrider, it refuses itself to be a grown up man and dislikes the idea of getting forty in the near future.

On the other hand, this other guy accepts that the noisy exhaust, loud BOV sounds and stickers behind the front bumpers were part of his previous life, he has evolved and it's one step forward, has elegance, he accepts what it is, there's no room for bling bling mods anymore, somewhere down the line he could accept 0.5" of sharpness

I was only playing around, but very curious to confirm or deny those specs cuz I love to see people ballzy enough to run with aggressive wheel fitments!

Not to harp on semantics but.....

They are actually H&R "OE" Sport Springs (Not OEM)

"OEM" Sport would be the factory Audi Sport springs at a .8" drop.

Ryan_T how is the ride with the OE Spring compared to stock? Is it rought? I had super sport on and i had to take them off because the ride was really rought and i kept bottoming out...broke two splash shield.

I've only bottomed out once. And it was an obviously big bump, but it was too tight for me to reverse in an angle. I always grimace now whenever I go over a dip or a bump, always expecting a scrape, but in a month, it's only happened once. Ah well, it's only at the bottom of my bumper.

The ride's actually better with the springs. I don't notice any degradation in ride quality in Auto, but it's stiffer in Dynamic, and about the same in Comfort. I can notice things more, but not in an uncomfortable way. In fact, some bumps felt softer.

    A4, Sedan, 2.0 TFSI
(Incl. 2WD, Quattro & Adaptive Suspension)

All the same, except for Avant and 3.2 FSI

verified visually as I saw one A4 CVT at a local shop when installing Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Also part number match on Eibach catalog.

so... NO ONE with H&R Super Sport?

    I'm jealous... mine isn't S-line... :(

ps: how's the ride compared to your Stock S-line? I'm debating if I should go with V2/3 vs. V1 non-adjustable other than just ride-height

Suspension: H&R OE Sport Springs, Factory S-Line shocks, 5mm spacers front & rear
    Wheels: Factory S-Line 19" x 8.5" ET43
Tires: Factory provided Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 255/35-19

Note that I'm having vibration issues with the spacers so while they're mounted, I can't yet recommend them. Going to see about road force balancing the wheels tomorrow.

Re: Show and Tell Your Suspension Setup!

I reading directly off the KW site that the V1's drop is front 0.8-1.5 and rear 0.4-1.5, this is what the H&R springs i have gave me so it would be pointless in my eyes to go from springs to coils and stay the same height. Does anyone know if the V2 goes lower? The site doesnt say..

Those are KW's recommended lowering ranges. They definitely go lower than that. I could probably tuck my tires completely behind the fenders if I dropped my V1's all the way down. In fact, I have the rears set about as high as they will (safely) go to get my current drop.

ps: how's the ride compared to your Stock S-line? I'm debating if I should go with V2/3 vs. V1 non-adjustable other than just ride-height
Your photoshop was right on. I might try some spacers in the spring...it won't be too long before I have to throw the winter wheels on.

I would say that the ride is close to, if not better than the stock S-line.

Jason, your setup is bang on for what I'd want my S4 to mimic. Just lowered enough to make a difference. I'll try the spacers too, once the vib storey plays out.

    ditto!
i personally don't like having it so low that the top of the tire is cut off, having just a small gap between the fender and top of tire is what i want.
