Dipped headlight warning store code?

I'm just wondering if a dipped headlight warning stores a code in the ecu? It happened too me, then the headlight turned off then back on. I can't find the code in vag-com so i'm afraid the dealer wont fix it.

Sadly mine didnt show in VAG either. Best bet is to take it to them when it dips and have a mechanic note it for when you take it in to them. Also, if its dipping its probably the headlight going out which my dealer wouldnt cover. So i did it myself for about $80 for two new bulbs and some manual labor out in my garage.

If you turn the vehicle off, it will NOT store any faults. To ensure that the dealer can accurately diagnose the problem, you need to take it to them with the dipped headlamp warning illuminated. Do not turn off the vehicle until they have pulled faults. Typically the only way warranty will cover a xenon bulb is if a module has failed, causing a bulb to fail as well. I do not believe the bumper needs to be removed for xenon bulbs, but I do know that it does need to be pulled for the modules(on the bottom of the headlamp housings).

Yes but the DIY makes it relatively easy. I had never touched a bumper before i did mine and i can say it was pretty painless if you have the time and patience. Its $80 vs $400+

No codes. Dealer replaced my bulb, problem was still there. Dealer replaced wires, problem still there. Dealer replaced my ballast... Ahh ...problem solved. :)
