Car Color Change Teaser Pics

Dropped it off first week of May, but man their shop is super busy
Car is fully prepped and should be going in the paint booth very soon
Hopefully next week it should finally be done...

Going from all silver to white with black roof, door jams and everything painted. also painting my stock hood so i'll decide between that or my carbon hood after its all done

cant wait, almost a month and a half without my baby

Unfortunately the car was damaged and insurance payed for all this

The body shop doing the work is Garage Inc.

I don't know what you meant by interior, but yes the trunk is being painted
Might just be that they prefer to paint some parts off the car so certain jams or areas of the car get painted too?
I am not too familiar on the process of how the body shops go about full color changes
and Nelson, I am just gonna keep my carbon hood as is so I have the option to change it up and/or possibly sell it if i don't use it

Damn man...I liked it silver, white will look good, but silver with those wheels grew on me. I'm not gonna be an asshole and tell you that you just killed the resale, but you're a brave man lol. I can't believe you left the wheels on during the process though...I hope they don't mess them up or end up with overspray Let's see some pics as soon as it's done

dont get me wrong i have ibis white and i loveeeeee it but if i had this oportunity i would have paint the car sprint blue ,papaya color(orange) or another something really different like porsche gt3 green

^^^ I'm not really sure what the point of leaving the hood with two inches of carbon fiber showing is? Is it just so people can see you have a carbon fiber hood?? To me, it just looks like the paint shop accidentally taped off a portion of the hood and didn't bother going back and finishing what they messed up. Enlighten me please...

Ha, the point is it's lighter weight. If you want it to actually serve it's purpose as being light weight, you wouldn't paint it at all... However, I also understand it's a matter of taste and don't really care how people paint their cars as long as they like it. However, in my opinion I can think of a lot better ways to partially paint a hood that doesn't disrupt the flow of the hood and the entire car for that matter. For example, paint the middle and leave the carbon fiber sides, paint everything except for the angled parts on the sides, hell, even paint everything and leave two carbon fiber racing stripes in the middle (Granted, I wouldn't do the last two ideas). Again... In my opinion, leaving a little part not painted just to show it off looks like it's unfinished and totally throws off the lines and flow of the car for a silly reason to "show it off." But, take my opinions with a grain of salt because I didn't go to car design school...

Yeah, white looks great and we all know that but something different yet CLASSY would have been unique, rare, and one off.

I'm assuming that you only had a certain budget to work with considering the insurance company only approved a certain dollar amount??? The color white is just one of thousands of OEM colors that you could have choosen for the same amount of money.

PS..........I love your silver car and I wish you luck on a trouble free paint job.

I cant wait to see this done as I have been wanting to see a white car with the black roof. I have been kicking around the idea but not sure how it would look on our 4 door car. I think it looks better on a coupe, so I cant wait to see the final product.

The car's going to look great and it looks like they are pretty thorough with the taping, but it's a shame they didn't remove the door sills and latches instead of taping them off. Maybe those parts aren't as easily removed as I think?
