I am wondering if any of you guys have used these brake pads and what was your experience? I am looking for something aggressive with no noise and low dust. I have used Hawk HP Plus and Carbotech Bobcats in the past.

    Thanks

What did you think between the Hawk Hp Plus and Cabotech Bobcats?
I remember when I was first shopping I was thinking of the Bobcats. I got Hawk HP Plus because then can take some track abuse without melting. I have nothing to compare them to though.
Think that I would go race pad next. I have no noise or issues with the Hawk HP Plus and like them a lot, but they do need to be warmed up, ie. on a track, before they really bite.

The Hawk HP Plus are noisey but bite very hard and last longer than the Carbotech Bobcats.

FERODO Brake pads are the BOMB! get the track ones... my car stops like *that*. Everyone gets impressed with how quick it brakes for a heavy car.

I am going with either Porterfield or EBC. Any feedback with these?

I have Ferodo on all 4 corners with S4 rotors and love them! The only drawback is that my silver wheels look gunmetal after only a day or two. I also used to have Green Stuff on my B5 and they were just ok. Not too much dust but it seemed as if they had to warm up to bite.

    psiaddict85, thanks for your information.

I am now going for the EBC brakes pads. Can someone please give me feedback on Yellow Stuff or Red Stuff?

    no problem.

I know a few people running the Red Stuff pads and they have almost no dust at all, much less then even the Green Stuff and they are not suppose to fade as fast but do cost a bit more. Yellows on the other hand are straight Track pads that will turn your wheels black if you use them on a daily basis, which I don't think would be wise either way.

I love my Ferodos but I don't think the price (Almost $500 for front/rear) is worth it for me since i don't really track the car. I also might have gone with another pad if i knew how much they dusted. The red stuff is about 130-150 i believe for fronts so they are much cheaper.

Re: Ferodo VS Porterfield VS EBC

Quattro, Do you know about the Yellow Stuff?

Here is where you can buy them from:

    ECS Tuning:

    http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4-.../Braking/Pads/

    Or

    Auto Parts Warehouse:

    http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...+Pad+Set%20EBC

Everything is cheaper at Auto Parts Warehouse, except the RED Stuff Front brake pads-ECS Tuning

We should get ECS Tuning to do a group buy.

Re: Ferodo VS Porterfield VS EBC

I do know the redstuff does come with pad sensor, I forgot where I purchased mine, but it was cheaper than most places.

Yellowstuff is a more aggressive pad, it does come with the pad sensor as well. I wouldnt run yellowstuff for a daily driver since it is more aggressive and I would assume it would squeak, due to its more aggressiveness.

Stick with redstuff, I think it has more bite over stock and more over green, either green or red will suffice. Check out that link i posted I did a review on the pads and hope others will chime in with more pad reviews.
