iPod integration problem

I've installed the blitzsafe iPod adaptor (BlitzSafe VW/M-LINK1 V.5
) for my b7 2008. However when I press the cd button twice it doesn't switch to the iPod mode and the satelite as well as everything else works fine. I'm stumped. What could it be? Thanks in advance.

Did you ground the black wire with the ring terminal at the end?

Follow up question - is it normal to have a slight hiss with this unit? That's what I'm hearing when there is no audio being played, it's not too much notacible while playing music.

on the chasis of the radio. on the side via the larger hex fastener. i couldn't really find any other location.

find another ground, i had the same issue. i ran a long wire to a place under the dash where i could scrape paint and get a good ground. Cured the hiss.
