I know this is not normal. I'm wondering what this could be?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I just don't know what to search it under.

Also, sorry for the bad video quality. But hopefully someone could help.

**EDIT: The sound is coming from the intake box.

Could this mean my DV is going? The sound I'm talking about is the surging sound after throttle release.

I'd make sure your DV hoses arent kink'd. Sounds like the air cant devert...forcing it to push back over the spinning blades. Could be a bad DV as stated above as well.

    Re: Compression Surge Sound??

there was a TSB floating around before on how to check it, if i remember correctly you take it out and take a socket extension and push the piston in then put your finger on top of the vac line on top and release the extension, the piston should stay up and when you release it should shoot back down

    Re: Compression Surge Sound??

Like others said if its a surging sound its probably the DV. Though it's hard to tell w/ the video. I would check for any boost leaks as well.
