Custom-made front filler, worth it? (pic)

I have been thinking in turning the front filler into something more "slim". After looking at a thread today where someone proposed a filler-free grill, maybe this could be a good balance between both options
    Do you think it's worth?
Do you think it can be done?

I have to say I like the slim look to it.

i really like the slim look. would one need to purchase an entire additional grill however to fill in the difference?

That's exactly my main issue, it's not only a matter of working on the filler, but on the grill also...

I give you credit for trying something new and I actually think it looks pretty good. However, I think it would probably be cost prohibitive. The standard filler plate, that has already been designed and sourced, is around $100. You'd be talking about a whole new filler plate and a new grille to make it work. Seems like too much money for me. Best of luck if you give it a shot.

That's pretty cool. You should see what it would look like if you took it from the bottom not the top?

Looks good man give it a shot! You would probably require another grill but there are deals to be had. I bought my rs4 grille mesh on eBay for a lot cheaper than new. If you want to buy my s line grille for cheap pm me.

+1, I think you would. It's bright silver and right behind that part of the grill. You could paint it, but I don't think it's worth the effort.
