Bumping an old thread here, sorry. I just (literally) a month ago bought a 2005 a4 1.8t cabriolet, my 1st audi ever. It started having electrical issues after 2 weeks. Interior lights, windows, trunk, occasional loss of headlights.

Pulled the driver's seat, found a ton of water, ccm fried. Pulled the battery cleaned plenum tray (mildly blocked)

I need some compatibility information if possible my unit is a 8H0 959 433 L (which I suspect has been replaced before as it's got a date stamped on it off 11/2016

    What other units would work?

Car still runs fine, can I drive it without the ccm???

    My VIN:
    WAUAC48H25K008882

    UPDATE: 8/11/18
ccm replaced almost everything working. Airbag light on (due to seat removal) and keyfob won't reprogram (I only have the one key)

I am afraid I got to bump too this old thread.
Exact same situation as BrandonGoode above, but my baby is a B7 RS4, still uses same version CCM.

Version L totally fried, didn't get to capture any codes :(
Popped in a Gallardo '12 unit and most things are back, but some (same) issues...

    Remote Keys don't work.
Trunk handle worked for a couple of days, now also dead.
Glove compartment keeps trying to lock when I switch off the engine.
(These last two worry me that I have more water damage as they re-appeared when it rained a bit)
The light on my petals never came back
Airbag light on and passenger airbag light on.
Wondering what other things I need to reprogram...

    Thank you all,
    ~S
