they will look silly on stock suspension.... lower your car first...then wheels

you shouldnt have to run spacers at all to make those fit.

Well here is the car semi-lowered on K-Sport's.

18x8.5 et 35 VMR V710's gunmetal, 225/40 18 Falken Ziex 912 tires

24.5" GTF up front and 25.25" GTF in back. This was due to the offset and sizing of wheels.



Just had fenders rolled today so camber will be dialed in and car is coming down some moar!!!!

Ninja edit: I really need to get those S4 skirts and S4 bumper on, the car looks mad high in pictures with the black moldings. In person it looks much lower!

Would you have a more recent picture? Im interested in picking the VMRs soon.... thanks!

Question..... Do you know if I can put Stock S4 suspension on my A4 (same year - 2001)?
I'm trying to upgrade at a reasonable cost and there are many used S4 suspensions in the classifieds.
Some people feel the engine weight difference (not sure what that is) could cause a problem. I'll be replacing all control arms at the same time.
Thoughts?....

The general consensus (sp?) on this is that your front end will sit higher and give an odd look to your car.

the RS4 reps... wheres the cheapest site to buy a set of 4 (17's or 18's). aaaand on a b5 with stock suspension, will there be tire rub with 18's? 17's reps?

keep an eye on the classifieds here and on Craigslist for the wheels. As far as fitment you shouldnt have any rubbing issues on stock suspension, look for an offset close to 35 and buy tires in a 225(most common) or 235 width. When you go lower just browse thru this thread and find a set up that appeals to you. Good luck man.

18x8 RS4 rims ET43 (had no problems with offset. These fit just fine)

When I just bought it:

-Nitto Neo Gens 225/40
-Vogtland Coils ~24GTF (rears have .5 inch left - front has about 1.75-2 inches left)
-front fenders need to be rolled
-front is getting a 5mm spacer
-rear is getting a 8-10mm spacer

Ooh I can't recall more than that they are 18" at the moment. I'll post up the details next time I have one off.

Been looking at the pictures and trying to figure out the lowest GTF I can go without rolling my fenders. I plan on running 18x8 ET 38 with a flush or stretched look. Possible will stretch to help with clearance. I see most running 24.5" but no one mentions rolled fenders. Pa roads might leave me 25" GTF w/ spacers and stretch.
