    Re: Stainless Steel Pedals

Even though the pedals from the RS6 & RS4 have a slightly different design this is a pedal set that works on your B6 & B7 chassis cars. Direct Fit & easy install. This particular kit does not come with a dead pedal.

I think the new RS6 has a matching brake pedal.

Yes, I put those on my A4 and they were a perfect fit. The dead pedal required a bit of modification, so let me know if you decide to get that as well and I can help. Here's what my set looks like installed...

mmm... much nicer than the combo listed on ECS. Wondering how much did you get them for?

If I remember correctly, it's an RS4 gas and dead pedal, with RS6 brake pedal. Email OEMpl.us for a quote. I can't remember exactly how much I paid.

Blake, do you think you can provide the part numbers of the gas and brake pedals so that I can source them local? Thanks man.

Sorry man, I don't have the part numbers and there's no way I'm removing the pedals to see if they're printed on there. The brake pedal would be a snap, but the gas pedal is enough of a pain that it's just not worth it for me. I have a feeling they are listed somewhere in the B7 A4 forum if you run a search.

looks like nice Wolfs9, did you end up getting them from oem.plus and did they end up being the RS4 gas and dead with the RS6 brake pedal as Blake suggested? Just curious what you paid if you don't mind....

    Thanks!

The RS6 brake pedal is only for auto/tiptronic cars because the RS4 only came in manual. Wolfs9 would be using the full RS4 pedal set.

thanks for the heads up. As soon as I posted the message, I looked back and saw that his was a manual (oops). I have the B8 S-line Avant and want the pedals but don't see any listed on oem.plus website. So I'll look for the gas and dead from the RS4 and RS6 Brake pedal wherever I can. thanks!

    Re: Stainless Steel Pedals

That pedal set-up also looks just like the S-line pedals on my wife's B7 Avant. I wonder if you could just order that set....or it could be true that they all (RS6 / RS4 / B7 A4) all use the same pedals.

    Hey guys,

My response from the guys at OEMpl.US is as follows:

The kit retails for $315 and can be ordered directly from our website. The Model Number is 4F1721891.

    hope this helps!

    Re: Stainless Steel Pedals

    hey guys,

Sorry for any confusion but after emailing the pic of Blake's pedal set up to Josh at OEMpl.US (per his request), he responded with the following:

Yes, that helps very much, that is a direct RS6 pedal kit, no hybrid. It is listed on our website for $315 under the A6 4F Interior section.

    Re: Stainless Steel Pedals

So the "set" includes Dead, Gas and Brake pedal for $315?

If so, all things considered, not a bad price at all. Definitley a mod that needs to be done for it will pay off every time you open the door to get into the car!

I also noticed that the stock pedals are almost plastic!

    Re: Stainless Steel Pedals

Do these make it easier to heel & toe? Personally I like to use the ball of my foot on the brake, and roll the outside of my foot on the gas to blip the throttle. I can pretty much reach with the stock pedals, but they don't provide enough grip to do this safely. With Gemballa pedals on my dad's Boxster, this works great, even if I don't have that much pedal under foot the grip is firm and reliable. Those are all metal with a textured surface that grips really well... can't find a photo off hand, but these are pretty similar: http://www.ultimatepedals.com/catalo...e.php?pID=2066

So what's the verdict? Do the RS4 pedals to the trick? Or should I check out the AWE pedals or even those Ultimate ones instead?

Also, is the pedal spacing in the RS4 B7 and A4 B8 pretty much the same? I thought I might drop by the local Audi dealer and see if they'll let me sit in an RS4 to check out the pedals. If the spacing is similar that should be enough to make an educated decision.

    Thanks!
    - Jason

Yes, the brake pedal requires you to remove the rubber pedal and replace it with the steel one and takes about 30 seconds to swap. The stainless gas pedal slips over the top of the plastic stock pedal, but fitment is very tight and takes some elbow grease/muscle/maneuvering to get it on right, but should be easily removable as well. I'm sure I'll just leave my pedals as-is when I sell the car.

Sounds good. I remember the lube discussion for the gas pedal!

That is why I wondered what it was going to be like should I need to remove it.....

Gotcha. If you don't have any lube, you can just massage it slowly until it loosens and everything slips into place. Wait, that sounds dirty.

You have to remove the aluminum cover and attach it to the plastic B8 dead pedal. It requires slight modification to attach the top clip, which becomes extremely obvious once you have them in your hands.

Autos use RS6 gas and brake pedals.
Manuals use RS4 gas and brake pedals.
Both use RS4 dead pedals and require swapping the black rubber base from your stock dead pedal to the RS4 dead pedal and cutting a slot in the rubber for the extra prong to slide through and tighten. It's pretty obvious once you've got them in front of you.

If you're asking about an aluminum OEM pedal set that does not require modification to fit, the answer is no. It's seriously a simple mod though. You can just wait for the RS5 if you want a direct fit.

    Re: Stainless Steel Pedals

There are also the srp pedals that are made for easier heel and toe. It was also mentioned by another member that had these pedals that they are a little slippery compared to the srp pedals. That member actually had this and switched them out for the srp. So if you live in a part of the world with snow or lots of rain you might want to reconsider.
These pedals do look good though.

Blake P has them installed on a B8 and they will work. The pic he posted is from his B8 A4.
