    This brand new SAI pump from ECS just seems too damn loud

    Any opinions? Engine off, VCDS turning it on (and it pulses it, intentionally). It just seems so damn loud, but I wouldnt know what a properly working one should sound like since I had my disconnected for so many years before this, I don't remember.

    That is wayyy too loud. Normal sound is like a vacuum cleaner. Not unpleasant to the ear. What you got there sounds like a battery powered leaf blower. Check your connections for any rubbing on blades or loose hoses & return to ECS.

    *2 sounds way too loud. Even with the bumper off it should not sounds like that... Should really sound like a larger heat gun (no pun intended)

    hmm have you tried it with the engine still running. I've never heard one without the engine going.

    It is the URO brand from ECS Tuning. They said that they ship tons of these and really it performs exactly the same as OEM. There must be something wrong with mine. They issued an RMA no problem. I'm going to get it replaced.
