It's ok, all the real enthusiasts support your intentions.

your written English is better than many people for whom it is their native tongue. you're fine.

as far as your project is concerned, it is simply awesome! i love it! the motor is a beauty. the car is a beauty. i can't wait to see it all together and hear how it runs. i definitely dig it.
    Because S4 = Hooker

Your family is disappointed and concerned once they find out you've picked one up. Not to mention you try to hide how much money you routinely give one from your significant other.

It would be my pleasure to help if I can. Pm me..
I bought the S4 Ecu wiring that I should be installing on the car next weekend...(Just got back from abroad).
The 7.1 ECU harness is the same as the 7.5 (immo problem is fixed) . My only concern is the compatibility of the ecu with the tacho and abs module, but if it fails I have a backup plan.

    Re: Just another Built post

Well… Thinks are getting from bad to worse…..

All of you who have supertech valve springs kit (from 034 ) please read this…

I had a professional do the head work but he did not clean the heads…. So I had to dissemble the valves and springs ,clean the heads and reinstall everything.
Imagine my surprise when I saw this…

This is completely new and unused spring kit. 6 spacer are crack , 2 of them have a lot of material missing… I doubt that it was cause from a bad installation.
Thank god I dissemble the head and saw it……I cant think of what would happen if I installed it as it was on the engine.
So now I can work on the heads until I receive new replacement spacers….

On top of that I realize I was send the wrong rod bearings. The ones they send me where 1.5mm oversized. So I have to wait again to get the correct rod bearings….
So I can not even work on the block..

    Pictures of the heads...Port &polished 2.8 heads

I am stunt myself.....I can believe no one notice it before. I don't even know if anyone ever look after they install them .Maybe is an isolated event.
The machine shop I used for the head work is called DRAKOS. It the best machine shop in Greece and I live in Cyprus...I send the heads all the way to Greece just to have them work on them. I dont think it was the machine shop fault
I did not email the pistures to 034 ...I just got back from the shop...
I ordered new spacers from a third party supertech vendor which responded faster.

What kind of power are you hoping for? and more importantly, what rpm do you expect full spoolup at?

I put some GT2871R's on my 2.7 RS4 engine with 2.4 NA heads ported and polished, with .64 AR I am getting full boost (1.9bar) @ ~5000 rpm, 1 bar @ ~4000 rpm. Reving to 8k and made around ~700 chp. I would have liked spoolup a little quicker so will be keen to see how yours does :)

    Good luck mate :)

    Re: Just another Built post

    Thanks...I will need it...

Anything above 600 whp and I would be happy...
If I get close to 700 whp I would be really happy...
The turbo is good for 950 chp..that's what? 780whp?

As for spool I am really clueless....
It all depends on the manifold which is still under development from INA . He promise I will have it be the end of this month. I hope he does keep his promise..
The Comp turbo is a twin scroll to help it spool better but its a big ass turbo....We will see...I already built the head to rev up to 8200rpm
I will be happy to have your spool. Doesn't sound too bad...

    Re: Just another Built post

    Well......
Motor wise I have installed the pistons and rods.....I am still working on the oilpan.....The girdle plate is a major pita.................
I had to play Picasso with the dremeler on the oil pump(Have to remove a LOT of material) and oil baffle.... funny think is that it does not even list them in the installation instructions... I should be done with the oilpan today and move to the heads...

I have been busy with wiring too.....I think I have the wiring sorted but I still need to test it on the engine once that is done........
As for the body I installed the rear bumper and right front fender....

Its all about the flow IMO. Im really stuck on that theory idc about what turbos people run and other shit but to tell you the truth I think flow is the most important thing. I love that word "Flow" I need to incorporate that into my license plate.

BTW the build looks crazy!! Goodluck man im subscribed like flies on shit.

the 2.4 and 2.8 use the same size valves but iirc the 2.4s have more material to work so that the flow can be optimized. I'm by no means an expert on this but I remember a post by OZZ or Satan's Child saying the 2.4s will outflow the 2.8 heads. Both of these guys have spent between 5 and 15 thousand dollars on different heads so I would ask them for the info since they are probly the most knowledgeable on the subject around here.
