ok this may be a repeat question but how did you get your plate mounted to the side like that?? is it some how screwed into the tow hook hole or something?

It was a Podi skid plate towhook mount, but I sold it. I have a magnet mount now.

Podi's has been on backorder for ages, I don't think they're manufacturing them anymore. When I put mine up for sale here, it sold in less than an hour. A buddy of mine has a RHO mount now. He used to have a Podi skid plate mount and likes this one better because it's more versatile: http://www.rhoplate.com/Products-Audi.html

I definitely miss driving a wagon, but the new car is a lot of fun, and it's quick as hell with its Stasis tune. I'm picking up a set of 19" peelers for it this weekend. And the DSG is awesome. Don't knock it 'til you drive one.

I don't doubt that the car is fun to drive. And I respect DSG, but it'll never be as enjoyable as a proper MT to me. But then again, it's not my car - so enjoy!

A very happy new owner I might add! Not many avants down here either so its stands out in a good way - I've already had a few "wow that's a wagon and it actually looks cool" comments.
Inspection coming up soon......we'll see if she "passes" down here in the south.

Did you buy it with the RS6 wheels? I really wanted to keep those for myself before shipping them to dropshadow in MI, but my cheap-ass didn't want to put in the money he spent for them

It did sell with the RS6 wheels, but I wish there was a way I could have made them fit the new car. I picked up a set of 19" Peelers over the weekend instead.

You could have fit the RS6's on the B8 if you didn't mind boring out the CB, right?


Both are great choices, these are pretty much two of my favorite Audi Wheels. I also like the Ti and RS4 wheels, but I think I prefer these even more

Yeah, I could have had them bored out, but didn't want to spend any more on those wheels than I already had. I've always liked the peelers and almost put a set on the Avant, so I'm glad I ended up with a set after all. Now I just need to buy tires and find centercaps for them.
