Newbie Question: 2009 A3 upgrading stock Concert 2 to Pioneer AVIC-U310BT

Just ordered the Pioneer from Bestbuy's website.. I am totally oblivious as to what DIY routes I can take to swap this out with my stock Concert 2. I was hoping to get some input from the community.

My car:
2009 Audi A3 2.0T Premium Quattro
- BT included
- Concert 2

My expectations and stuff through research:
- steering wheel controls integration with Pioneer dash
- no song info on dashboard
- phone integration will be with pioneer instead of Audi BT
- use SD card for song storage

Outstanding questions

1) Do I need to order any extra hardware (connectors, installation kits, etc) to install this? If I do, what do I need?
2) Will this affect any of my existing functionality in my car?

I havent seen this covered before so I'll use this to make a blog post.

Ok I'll run down the list for you. all 2008 2009 2010 A3 & 2007 2008 with factory installed RNS-E navigation radios.

First you are going to need a dash kit. The metra ons is great but I think I also have a rubber touch one in stock if you want to call or E-mail me I can check when I get into the office.

Then this pioneer cage holds the radio to the kit.

Then the radio harness with built in can adapter

Then the specific Radio lead to activate the steering wheel controls.

And an antenna adapter. There are 2 The first one will only use one of your antennas the second one will use both. If you rarely listen to the radio the first will do.
