I'm leasing an Audi A6 2013 Quattro since July 2013. I'm very disappointed. Picked it up at 18 miles, and as of this morning I have 2800 miles:
Day 2 issue: Groaning breaks on inching in traffic from standstill; worse on hills. Dealer has not been able to fix it after two visits. Told it was "normal" for A6s.
Month 2 and 3 issue: Loud ticking noise from under driver's side 30-40 minutes after car shut off after car heats up. Told by dealer this was "normal'. I protested and finally got them to tell me it was "probably" the cat convertor.
Month 3 issue: I finally started paying attention to my average gas mileage and I notice its only registering 11-14 miles in the city, and 20 on the highway. (the market 20 in city and 30 on the hwy). My full-tank miles to empty tops off at 380 miles. (What does everyone else register?")
Month 4 issues: Rattle noise on idle. Only notice when standing outside the car. This rattle "pattern" if you will, synchs with the ticking noise when car is off. I took it back, and they finally told me they ordered a part called a "resonator", currently waiting on Germany to send it.
This morning: During my last visit, they upgraded the software (3 days ago). This morning on the way to work, after about 10 minutes, I noticed a hissing or a static coming from the center air vents - only noticeable when the car is moving. I turned off the radio and the heat, and it had no effect on this noise. Smooth pavement versus bumpier pavement, does not matter. When the car stops, the staticky noise stops. When I got to work about 40 minutes later, the static/hissing stopped but a generalized low-level clanging occurred when the breaks were applied. When the resonator comes in, they'll have to address this issue. I've already called them.
I know cars are mechanical "beings" and some imperfections may exist during mass production, but I wish service people would not insult me and tell me this is normal for a new luxury car. Sorry about the long post. I'm frustrated.
