trying to install the ECS steering column boost gauge pod.

How do I run the vaccum line from the engine bay through the firewall, into the cabin?

Also, what wires am I tapping into so the gauge lights up?

    Thanks

To the left of the ECU, there is a little rubber grommet that runs right into the area under the dash. Cut a hole on this grommet and stick the vacuum line through this. Look at your fuse box, find a wire that turns on when your car is on, tap it and ground your other wire.

i ran mine through the hole where the throttle cable comes in (enters the cabin right behind and slighty above the gas peddle). just make sure you dont pull on the throttle cable while doing so, as for the lights just tap into your head light wires coming from your fuse box and ground to whatever you want. there is a little plastic triangle thing you need to move. not sure if i found it on here or audiworld but im sure if you SEARCH around you can find a few good install pictures

I'm about to install my vent gauge.. Tapping into the vent light sounds legit, right?

Did you guys have to remove the knee bolster or are there some ninja tactics to pull the wire straight up to the steering column?

You will have to anyways when you wire it up. But you have to feed it through there. Its only like 4 10mm bolts or something.
