haha I was looking at plates a couple weeks before you got yours and I was like nooo that's dumb, no one will get it... then you did it and I figured I might as well jump on the bandwagon while some form of 4 Rings is still available... Im not currently running anything on the plates... I had OU frames but I think I am going to leave it Neked for a while

Well a lot of things are better Neked cars, girls, and well girls... I will have to take a pic of how it looks with the cover on. I don't think it is very dark at all, but it goes great with my depo tails I have on I think. I might try those LED tails I see with a painter tinting them with some tinted clear soon. What do you guys think?

^How do you like your shifter? Is that the sameone that they offer different bushings and all that with everything? I've been thinking about a newwer shifter, but in my old Cavy sometimes you could hit 3rd instead of 5th if you didn't hold it over.

I like it a lot... I have the JHM Solid Throw Short Shifter... I believe it is a little more exspensive than most but it is very well made... Its a lot heavier, feels a lot more solid and generally doesn't feel like a POS... I originally got it hoping it would help with the throw but after I installed it I was a lot more pleased with the general feel of the shifter... The only problem I had with it was I drove it for a couple days without reverse because it wasn't adjusted right and I ran out of time... I actually drove to Chicago without reverse lol... That was an interesting conversation with the Valet guy

    Re: Official Columbus Thread!

Hmm.. Very easy. If you look in your bay on the upper left corner you will see the lines. The two fittings come apart with some big wrenches after you discharge the lines. Take some needle nose and pull out the filter on the side towards the rear of the car and blow out the lines to make sure nothing is in them. Then put the new filter in and tighten the line back. Pull a vacume for about 5-10 mins to get all the air and water out of the lines. Then recharge everything. Not pulling a vacume on the lines can cause say a 10-15% drop in how cold the air gets. I can play freeze out in the car like back in the day cause it is very cold. Then put the caps back on the plugs and you are done.

Guess what, Auto Assets didn't have the friggin' BT software for my ECU! You would think they would have the advertised software. I took the K04 out and will be putting the GTRS in tomorrow. I thought I was gonna be done this weekend, now I have to wait for GIAC to send the software which means I won't get my ecu back until tuesday maybe, this sucks! not to mention putting the turbo in is a little bit harder than it sounds.

most people I know realize that he really doesn't do great work and he over charges... for what you pay at Auto Assets you can go to a specialized mechanic who only works on your brand of car (be it and Audi or a Porsche or whatever)

I learned that really fast about things there. He was trying to get me to buy the older boost gauge for $200 that only goes to 25psi, but I know that I could get the newer gauge going to 30psi for the same price. I just kinda laughed and thinking of ordering a Podi once the new gauges get in.

$50 for ECU flash is standard GIAC installation pricing as far as I know. Ever priced a custom tune for your car?

Their mechanic has 25 years experience working on these cars. Only person I trust to work on my car except for myself, but he will do it more professionally.

My car is there right now getting the stage 3 work done. Went over there to check out progress, and couldn't be happier so far.

I know some of the workers there from CR, but I don't like Chip cause he just doesn't treat people right. After a few months of getting something for the girls GLI I came in with my Audi and then he talked shit on the part that I got for the girls car he told me to go with a few months before. I said something to him about that and his face kinda went blank. Watching out for used stuff that comes into the shop is great priced, but most of the time it is beat to hell and back.

So I got the software (he didn't charge me the $50 cause he said he took all day to get it done, i guess it was complicated?) and it's running like crap. The TIP I got doesn't fit the stock air box so I had to get a 3" cone filter and buy is it loud. Trey, I think it's 3 if not 20 times louder than your car lol. It's obnoxiously loud but I can't get past 12psi so I suspect a boost leak. I checked almost everything else today though. I found out my original A4 MAF is bad so i'll have to buy another one, I'll just use my TT MAF for now even though it doesn't make the car anymore powerful. This shit is a pain in the ass

yea, it was on the showroom floor on saturday. From what I noticed, it's got Stoptech brakes, a carbon fiber hood, and it's rollin on 19's. The hood looked kinda tacky though, the edges were fraying.

I just swaped out some spark plugs just a few mins ago, and a little short test drive to make sure everything was good. I'm just wondering how it will show up in MPG next week. ;) I know it would be huge, but they where old stock and maybe never replaced.

I got one from 034 motorsport. I don't recommend it cause it sits too far forward and hits the electric fan housing.

Whats wrong with it? Unfortunately I do not have a machine so I cant test it for you. But you need to put a hard vacuum on it to A) Get all the old funk out of it and B)Make sure its not leaking. Once you figured out that its not leaking then you can fill it up with the correct amount of R134.

You are going to have to pay atleast $100 to get it done the right way.

^Do that for sure, I would also change out the filter/valve when you do this cause it really is what made mine work so much better then the week before doing the same thing.
