You can paint it, or if I remember correctly to replace it you have to break the 2 smaller rear windows and replace the glass to change them out.

This was my solution... It's definitely the cheapest and maybe the easiest way to do it. Took a while to do, but I like DIY projects. Also, if you get bored of it then you can just remove it.

Re: Change the chrome trim around windows, possible?

The best! Why didn't I think of this... Thank you!

About the vinyl, how does it stick to the car?
How does it look today, does it handle a hand wash with high pressure water without flying of?
Is there a risk to peel of the chrome when taking the the vinyl of the car?

    Thanks!

Could always buy titanium pkg trim from the dealer. I think it costs in the area of $800 smackers.

^then I would imagine labor would be insane unless you can DIY. I was quoted at 2 hours labor ($290) to replace only the piece of chrome trim underneath the passenger side window.

The vinyl has an adhesive backing that has held up really well. There was a spot I wasn't too happy with (a little gap in which you could see chrome through it) and decided to remove the vinyl and redo it. When taking the vinyl off, it was pretty difficult and I had to use a knife because I don't have fingernails. The chrome didn't peel off, but I did scratch it a little bit (not worried because I'm keeping the car for a long while and will keep the vinyl on). The most pain in the ass part was the adhesive left some residue which would probably come off easily with goo gone, however I didn't have any at the time. I ended up redoing a little part with the residue still on and you can kind of see the residue through the vinyl now, so I'm going to redo it again. The easiest way to patch it up (if need be) is to just add more vinyl ontop of the existing vinyl (still looks clean).

I usually always hand wash my car and it has held up perfectly. I've been through a touchless wash and whatever the dealership uses (think it's a standard brush wash) and it has held up. If you read through the thread I posted, you'll see the only problem I had was some shrinking from the sun within the first month or two. As long as you overlap each section by about a half inch, you won't have any chrome showing once it's done shrinking. Take a good look at my thread (because most of the questions you asked would have been answered if you read the thread) and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask or PM me.

I originally wanted to go that route as well, but I did this right around the time I got wheels and coilovers and the almost $700 I was quoted to have it painted was definitely out of my budget. I think I ended up spending about $70 and 5-6 hours of my time... Much better if you're on a budget! Just be careful if you're painting your grille as well. Don't follow anyone too close if there's loose gravel because the paint will most likely get chipped...

Also, notice the price of the blacked out trim from the dealership on this website. Total price for all trim being ~$370. Wish ours was that cheap.
