    Contaminated Power Steering

So continuing my fiasco with dead power steering pump.
One day I had too much fun in the snow, stiff steering, dead pump.
I brought to the shop, they replaced it, put new fluid, but warned me that there is residue metal shavings that can damage the rack. They did flush fluid once and refilled it twice (by siphoning old from tank) few nice times. Should I be worried? I was thinking of installing strong magnet, but I heard those shavings are aluminum and that won't work. Any ideas?

The only thing that will trap aluminum wear particles is an inline filter beteween the resorvoir and the pump intake. If the wear particles where going to cause a problem, it would have happend right away. If the PS is working OK now then I think you can stop worrying about it.

Thank You, I was worried about the seals in the rack.
