Its About Time- Suspension Install w/ Pics

so i finally got my car back today. total bill with the new control arm and alignment was just over $500. not bad since the dealer would have charged me just under 1K. they were able to get the rear of the car within alignment specs, but the front has a tad bit of negative camber.

i haven't had a chance to really drive it, but i can tell that it's a lot more firm.
the combo of new tires and spacers, along with the suspension, has made for a night/day difference while running through a few corners.

next mod will definitely be sways, but i'm very happy for now. here's a few dirty pics...

    Re: its about time

they're actually 235's. they're dunlop sp sport maxx's, which have a little more of a lip on them. they say it's to prevent curb rashes, er whatever, but they're about as wide as a 245

Lookin good! Sways will make a big difference in rotating outta corners when you get them. Although you won't notice as much of a difference now that you have suspension.

Nice! I've been looking at the same spring/shock setup. I don't track my car, so I can't decide whether I should go with this setup rather than coilovers like I originally had planned. How does it ride compared to stock? Thanks.

Re: Its About Time- Suspension Install w/ Pics

ride is a bit stiffer, which you definitely notice while corning. other than that, the ride is really nice. the spacers (especially on the front) will push the tires up to rub more often than i expected, but if you drive nice and easy, it's no big deal.

looks good about the negative camber up front. It will do 2 things for you 1. eat the inside of tires and 2. make handle corners better. Its a double edged sword

    ^thanks man

^^yeah my last car had ridiculous neg camber in the rear.
this time, i got the sheet back with all the alignment data, and the front camber numbers aren't too far off. i will still be rotating the shit out of them!
