    Getting 93 octane. How/Where

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Where can you get 93 octane gas? Do you have to add a mixture to the 91 that you find at most stations? I have only seen 91 in California which is heartbreaking.

By the way, I am from seattle.

    Re: Getting 93 octane. How/Where

Not sure on the 93 octane but i heard a while back that some gas station had race gas (not sure what octane) on pump. It was some gas station in El Cajon. Dont know where but just heard it was there. Maybe you should google it or something. Would be nice to get 93 at the pump in socal.

^^^yeah i was doing some search on it you pretty much have to mix it. I found a list of stations in socal that have 100 on pump gas. Its from another thread on here that someone was asking about.

    Re: Getting 93 octane. How/Where

    I think a 3 to 1 mixture of 91 & 100 creates 93... or close.

Once in awhile when I'm at about 3/4 tank (91oct) I'll go top it off @ 76 in HB with some 100... it's been awhile though

    Re: Getting 93 octane. How/Where

The cheapest way is to mix toluene. Although it has gone up in price in the last few months. 1-gallon mixture to a full tank of 91 should yield you just shy of 93 and 2-gallons will give you about 94.5.
But honestly, the most convenient and cost effective way is to go the route of a water/meth kit so you don't have to dick around with mixing at a gas station and having people give you weird looks.

The thing with Meth is that you have to tune it to get the best out of it. Otherwise you will just be wasting it for nothing and that stuff is expensive!! but keeps the car at a good lower temp!

    Re: Getting 93 octane. How/Where

I found this site that takes the guessing out of how much 100 octane to use. Just input the octane levels and how much gas the tank can hold, not how much you fill up with. So use 16.4 gallons as total.

Where is the station at exactly?

This one is a good one too, but it just too small(Scale size) for the 16.4 gallons that the gas tank holds.

    Re: Getting 93 octane. How/Where

you know, all the hassle is not worth the 93, if you want to have fun just get a 100 octane file and run that. I assume you are buying a used chip or have one and its programed for 93...you can get it adjusted to 91 and have 100octane for fun.

Seems like a lot of hassle and money to spend to have 93.

    Just my 2 cents.

^^Randy be quiet! Nobody wants your $.02 cents. Get a HPFP already!! lol jk bro.

Yeah he does have a point though. Chip companies usually have a race file for 100 oct. I think i might have to get one when i get my stage 3.

    Re: Getting 93 octane. How/Where

So i just called this place in SD

Rancho Santa Fe (near Encinitas off I-5)
    VP Racing fuels
    6089 La Flecha 858-756-2929
VP racing fuel 100 octane at the pump @ 6.99 a gallon (4/18/2007)

The place is still there and the 100 Octane is $8.99 a gallon.

Can anyone confirm that this station has 93 octane on pump?

76 in mission viejo off the 5 @ la paz has it on tap right @ the pump.
