Shouldn't have to move anything. Sounds like something is not aligned.

i agree with doug, i bolted up the mount and tri-bracket then bolted that to the cross member and finally the whole deal to the car

i have a six speed as well. they are doing something wrong...... it scares me if a shop cant figure out a tranny mount

In the audigeek DIY, it shows a metal plate that goes on top of the mount. Does that come with the track density mount only or both street and track mounts?

Re: Track tranny mount..sits wayyyy high ..Questionss?

I think it comes with the OEM mount you are removing.

I can't fully remember. I did my mounts last summer (street density).

Re: Track tranny mount..sits wayyyy high ..Questionss?

There was all kinds of discussion on this when they first came out. My track fits perfect; no problems. However, aligning it can be tricky, because unlike the OE mount, the 034 track has no nipples to help it fall in to the right spot.
But it's just common sense, and I'd worry about any shop that couldn't figure it out.
But there are a few on here who I do respect that have troubles, too. There was that fix that involved cutting. I don't know if it works because I didn't have any problems other than figuring out how to align it. I'm 6spd, too.
also, they should loosen all mounting nuts/bolts, even the snub and motor mounts, and then idle and slight rev car and then let idle some more, THEN tighten everything up, so everything lines up and centers. Otherwise, it may not line up right and/or cause some bad vibrations.

Has any of you B6 owners tried the 034 Motorsport tranny mount?

    User error causes many headaches.
Follow Jeff's DIY to a 'T' and there are no issues. That is what I did and everything lined up perfectly first try.

Of those that have had problems are they also running 034 engine mounts?

Re: Track tranny mount..sits wayyyy high ..Questionss?

I had the same problem I reinstalled the oem mount back in there..Some cars have a different mount...I had a picture posted where you can clearaly see the diff in height between the one that was in my car and the one from 034..the exhaust is a minor problem the big issue was that the drive shaft was missaligned after that wich caused the bearing to whine wich is why I put back the oem mount

they fabricated a bracket ot push my exhuast away from the cross memeber.. its great now.. vibrations only really noticable at low rpms... difference is awesome!

If your transmission is cocked upwards at angle you can ruin the driveshaft bearing.

I have the 034 tranny mount on my 2002 5spd and it went into place just fine. Do not reuse the thick metal plate that is on teh factory mount
