    Re: Single piece flywheels?

Not sure. I heard JHM is working on one as well.

I think a LWFW is a viable mod especially for a Naturally Aspirated motor.

    Re: Single piece flywheels?

LWFW is a great mod. You just have to find the right amount of material to keep the FW solid enough to keep the chatter out
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

JHM powered 12.2 On the JHM Tune With Launch Assist for the Automatic JHM Nitrous kit/JHM headers all this in a Automatic.

And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in

    Re: Single piece flywheels?

Yeah. I had my flywheel lightened on my old RX-7 and it was fantastic. It revved even quicker than before, got more power to the ground, and maintained daily drivability. It was tricky enough for a friend o the point that he fried my clutch trying to learn manual in it. But I was fine with it. And NO CHATTER. Just don't go TOO light.

    There is a downside......

Lightweight flywheels will allow the engine to rev up much more quickly, but it will also rev down much more quickly. Great for the track and when you are driving with the revs near the boiling point, but can make for a very choppy and jerky daily driver.
