Another alignment after I slap my coils back on?

Well recently due to recent events, I have put my stock suspension back on and I need to put the coils back. Prior to this, I had my coilovers on in perfect alignment. All I did was swap out the shock/springs but didnt change anything else. Drove on that for about a week alright. I now need to go back and put the coils on, they are going to go on with the exact same specs/height they had coming off. Do I need an alignment?

I wouldnt think you would need an alignment as long as your coils are still set the same

If the suspension has been taken down, for any reason, even if you remeved the springs, then put the same springs back on the next day, the suspension geometry must be checked.

You'd be surprised at how fine tolerances are.

You can't estimate, even if you mark things with paint before removal, which is why one should pay the maney to get it checked.

Suspension alignment can go out over time, even if nothing is removed / replaced, an undulating road can cause the chassis to flex enough to bring about changes, even if the car's driven gently, and the driver didn't actually experience any harshness.

Alignments are not that expensive. This was just talked about on another thread. If you don't get an alignment and if far enough off then you will go through tires more quickly.

Last time I got an alignment was about 2 months ago. I have the CPP adjustable control arms, and I didnt adjust those in any way, so they are still in the same spec.

^^^ Buddy, the fact you started this thread means you know deep down, it should be checked.

I'd agree more with you if your reasons for not wanting it checked are financial, but since you say "they're still in the same spec", then I disagree.

    Good luck anyway.

Everytime you remove suspension, you should get alligned. Even if you remove the spring, coil for 1 min. go get it realligned.

Well, I am going to get it aligned. I just had my subframe dropped for my new tranny. So that answers my questions.
