Running into problems shaving rear reflectors off DTM bumper. Help

Thanks to our wonderful North American traffic regulations as you know we have 4 cheesy reflectors on our cars. B6 doesnt, nor does B8. How did we get so lucky? Anyway there are two cookie cutter style holes where reflectors go on my DTM rear and I dont want them at all!!!!! I want to fill these.

Ok, I thought this would be relatively smooth sailing since the rear bumper is in the hands of the body shop, but there is a hold up. I requested that they "shave" or eliminate the rear reflectors on each side, but they said its not going to come out right.

Options are to melt plastic in place to fill the hole and then prep smooth, which they are now telling me isnt going to work with this style plastic. 2nd option is to fiberglass/bondo style fill the holes, which they said would more than likely result in cracking sometime relatively soon.

Im definitely shaving the reflectors. Please tell me if you guys have any experience. I dont want my beautiful rear tarnished by the nastiness of painted reflector pop ins.

I repeat. I dont want to stick painted reflectors back in. Help me out PLEAZE!!!

Body shop is awaiting my instructions

Weeder managed to do it as seen below....

    They're doing it wrong.

The correct method of shaving things in a urethane bumper is to first make blanks to fill the holes with using pieces of another bumper (it's a body shop, they should have piles of wrecked urethane bumpers laying around). Then, they want to attach the blanks in place using some fiberglass mesh on the back and a product called Fusor (I think 152/153 was used on my bumper).

The Fusor can also be used as the body filler. Tell your shop to ignore the directions and to start cheesegrating and sanding the filler around 45 minutes after spreading it or else it's a pain in the ass to work with.

My front and rear bumpers are practically made out of the stuff and it won't crack or delam no matter what you do to it:
