Visit to Germany for Euro RS4 Wheel and Recaro Seats

    Guys,

I will be going to Germany this summer and wanted some input.

If I get some things for the RS4, such as the steering wheel and shift knob below, will I get it for cheaper there? Am I better off contacting someone here and getting the stuff?

Also, what are the chances of me getting those seats for a low price and bringing them back?

    Thanks!

Parts are generally cheaper in Europe. If someone on this side of the pond can hook you up for a good deal, it will work out to be the same or sometimes cheaper in the end.

Check on Ebay.de to see if there are any seats for sale. Hard to come by, that's for sure. There's also shipping cost you have to consider if you can't bring the seats back yourself.

    Thanks for the reply.

I checked the German auction and I found the seats with the rear seats and door panels for $4,500. They are used though.

I would really like to find the alcantara wheel though.

Do you think I could get the seats and wheel at a dealer in German for a good price?

The main question is how are you going to get it back. If you've got some shipping hook ups that make sense then you should get a bunch of things to make it worth while. If not just get the stuff here in the US.

As far as the B6 front seats, they don't come in one complete piece. If you were to buy a new one, you would need to order all the necessary components and then assemble them in order to get a complete seat.

If this idea extends to the Euro RS4 Recaro's, then I guess you are out of luck buying new ones from a dealership.

Dude, I am living in Germany.. U be better off ordering them online. The flight cost and the euro rate will dent you pocket.. you better of(cheaper) to just order them.

That was kind of an old post, but I was curious about the cost of parts too. I am moving over there as my other post said, how much cheaper are the OEM euro parts over there.

For example, I really want to get e-codes, trunk lid and rear bumper for my B5 S4. I want to wait until I am there under the assumption it will be considerably cheaper.

Wait until you get here, trunk lids and rear bumpers are a dime a dozen out here. The only thing you will have to worry about is the exchange rate.
