Bi-xenon issue: Want to bypass auto level feature or at least the warning

I was wondering if any of you have tried to install the non-adaptive bi-xenons on a car that had originally come equipped with adaptive bi-xenons and color DIS?

We are getting a dipped headlight error on the colour DIS and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to disable the auto leveling feature? Everything else works fine from the high/low beams, parking lights, indicators ect. I just want to disable the auto level (dipped headlight) warning on the DIS.

I know it's opposite functionality that most people would ask for but I thought I'd ask the resident experts anyways. There must be a fuse or a VAG module or something that can be done.

Before anyone asks why the hell would you want to install a set of non-adaptive bi-xenons on a car that was equipped with the adaptive... the long and the short of it is that the original set of adaptive bi-xenons was broken and the parts that needed to be replaced cost significantly more than a set of used non-adaptive bi-xenons with housings, ballasts, and bulbs that were available.

I imagine you'd need to vag it.

Re: Bi-xenon issue: Want to bypass auto level feature

I poked around the VAG modules and I could only find settings that controlled the Xenon auto leveling range. I just want to disable the warning on the DIS since everything else works 100% fine.

Would anyone know what would happen if fuse #10 was pulled? Some B6 threads seemed to indicate that it would disable the auto level feature all together. I'm just worried that pulling that fuse would cause some other unforeseen side effect.
