Already searched. The A4 was 3 quarts i believe, how much does the 6 spd take? Noticed the tranny whining so I'm gonna change the fluid tonight. thanks.

    Re: Fluid capacity of transmission?

Thanks man, I don't know why but I have a really hard time finding stuff when I search.
I typed tansmission fluid change, tranny fluid change, tranny fluid capacity, and on and on and on.
I honestly didn't do a half assed search, I looked hard. Sometimes i'll type in a search on AZ or AW then type in the exact same search again and come up with other shit.
Oh well, thank God I guessed right LOL!
BTW that wasn't a sarcastic response to not getting any help, I was just fed up with searching and just gave up on finding the answer.

    Re: Fluid capacity of transmission?

You know it can be rough searching for particular stuff here on audizine.. but next time try using those key words you used in a google search and add B5 S4, and you will most likely find all the threads where the topic has been discussed on audiworld, audizine, and other audi forums etc....

Anyways, your only supposed to fill the tranny until fluid starts to drip out of the fill hole... my tranny had took about 2.5 quarts.. it really depends on how much gear oil drained out...
