Staggering the tires? Anyone done it?

Wondering if anyone has staggered their tires. I'll be getting a set of non-staggered 18" and I was wondering if this is a good idea. Instead of 235/40/18 could I do 225/45/18 F and 245/40/18 R? Or am I just crazy?

    wait seriously??? nah you're joking.

dozens of people have been running staggered setups for years now without issues. staggered does not effect quattro in anyway as long as the diameters are within is it 5%?

these posts pop up all the time, and there is always some guy that who knows nothing on the subject and responds no.

as long as they are close enough in diameter you should be fine. the 245/40 and 225/45 should be fine. use this website to see the diameter difference ~1% so you're ok.

225 up front, 265 out back.

    no probs at all.

although. this is my daily. my next setup will be 235s all around. just to get it to be more neutral again, although, as is, it doesn't push that bad, but i don't push it hard enough to make the car want to push, thats what the weekend car is for : )
