custom rs4 x-pipe?

first post? been lurking for a bit..

im debating to spend $300 on a ecs tuning h-pipe or a custom x-pipe by a local tuner shop. i don't really want to change the exhaust since it sounds nice already stock, just want more volume so i want to remove the resonators.

any ideas if i would get better sound with an X?

i also think the placement of the X is important when it comes to the sound it makes.. just hope if the shop knows what they're doing it could be sweet.

.. then again that $300 h-pipe would of not sounded much different and i could of saved $500 bucks..

i posted a poll to help me decide.. which ever i end up doing i will post pics and sound clip with this new HD cam i bought lol

decided to get the custom x-pipe done, car goes to shop friday for measurements..

let us know how it goes! Just whatever you do, do not cut the resonator out and just put in straight pipes....

I think that there is slightly better equalization for better scavenging. It does, however take away from the natural V8 sound.
