Paging Tgr_Clw: are you running your Work Emotions with spacers?

I was wondering why you could run 255 tires on ET43 wheels without rubbing against the spindle/control arms. Thanks!

Nope, no spacers on the Emotions. 255 tires are fine on 18x8.5 ET43 wheel. Chances are 265s would fit as well, but there's a chance that they'll hit the spindle/control arms on the inside.
I'd venture to say that ET40 would be perfect for 265 tires.

Thanks so much for the info. The reason why I asked, I'm considering buying a set of 9" rims, but I don't know whether ET35 is a perfect offset. I'm still on stock sport suspension and may get CO's in the future, so ET32 might be a little too low. But then I'm not sure if I'm going to rub on the inside with 235 or 245 tires on ET35.

255 is huge on a 8.5 whats the aspect ratio?
I'm running a 225/40 on a 18x8.5 and i wish i could of gone smaller like a 225/35 but it was alot more money per tire.

255/35/18's are the same height as 225/40's.

Pretty damn close. 78.6 versus 78.8 inches in circumference. 806 versus 804 revolutions per mile. Can't get much closer than that.

225/35/18 tires only have load rating 87, which isn't enough for our cars. You made the right decision.
