car starts but then dies after 40 sec or soo..?

so my 2000 6sp started acting up.. started the car up one day ran for about 40 seconds and shut off started the car rite back up did the same thing.. tried starting again just cranks... leave the car sit for a day or so starts up now sometimes i can drive it but im scared to leave my neighbor hood so i drive around for like 15 min. shut it iff start it up dies after 40 sec. and soo on ?? and also no lights on the dash.

noope i havnt but the car doest like shut off shity i gues you could say.. it shuts off like im turning the key back nice and clean.. im going to pull the filter out also just to b sure

yeah its not an easy job
located in the pass rear of the car by the fuel tank. You need a lift.

it can be done with out a lift! but you need some tools in order to get the strapp off the fuel filter because Audi has the most smartest engineers ever who decided to make everything damn near impossible to get to with normal tools ~!
