Installed N75 race valve, 5psi? help plz!

Well im running GIAC-X program, and i had a MBC on before with the n75 disconnected and was running about 14psi tapered down to 10psi quite quickly.

Now back when i first had my car, w/o the FMIC i hit 21 psi EASILY. So we figured the original N75 valve went bad, so i put it in today, 5 psi, no higher no lower, so i thought maybe i was stupid and put it in wrong, so i switched it, same thing... any suggestions i feel so slow!!!

try clearing your ecu. your car may of went to limp mode. connect and clear all codes/disconnect battery

x2, clear the codes and see if that takes care of it. Sounds like limp mode for sure... Why did you get a race N75 ? More and more people get that then wonder why the car doesn't react to it the way they want.. GIAC wrote a tune for stock N75, not N75 race. You may experience overboosting with it, as some have had issues like that in the past.

thats the point of the valve.
it lets boost spike higher and can maintain higher hold boost

get rid of the race vlalve and get a J valve. i have one on my giac x car and it works wonders. and the reason you lost so much boost after you put in your intercooler is because you probably have MASSIVE leaks.... so pressure test it, sell that valve on vwvortex, and buy the j valve

The race valve can cause problems with some chips. The higher boost can send the car into limp mode. This may be what is happening.

well we tested for the boost leak and there is none, perfect vaccum and no leaks. I did as stated and reset the battery along with the codes, drove it around for a bit, 6 rotations got these;

Now i have a new pass o2 sitting in my car, just need to install it, ABS well yea, lol... and the MAF is brand new, last summer... that b2 s1 malfunction is new one that didn't come up before.


these were the codes taken on January 12th;

and as for the race valve, i know what it does mainly thats why i bought it, was looking for that extra spike from GIAC(i know its not safe, but got to have a reason to go to ko4's, plus the turbos have 20k miles on them).

Anything that is sensor one is a major concern on the drivability of the car. As it seems both front 02's are bad.

Which I have had although it didn't put me in limp mode, i just had alot of misfires while driving

what baffles me is that the pass side o2 was the only one before, throwing code p1113, i install the n75 and clear codes and get both failing?

Change the passenger side o2 and then VAG it again.

1st, with a GIAC X you should be spiking at 18-19 and tapering to 15. It sounds like you were never boosting correctly in the first place.

2nd, do you still have the MBC hooked up? If so, take it off and run the N75 RV without it.

Now restest, pull codes.

3rd, if problems still exist, I would did the RV, get the JV, and still ditch the MBC unless you have a specific tune for it.

MBC is not hooked up, completely off. it is as if the car was stock, but with n75r

i personally bought the n75 race valve. I installed it with my giac chip and it cause my car to overboost..., i couldnt return it because ecs said it was used. So i bought a stock n75 and now im good to go.

Some people have success with the race n75 but i didnt. Just something to think about.

ya, my race valve on my apr stg2 did this. kept going into limp mode.
now i run the MBC in parralell with the race valve. peaking 19 holding 16, just took a bit of messing with to get it setup solid, but then i loctited that shit down, been good for months

ok havent had time to install the o2 sensor, but i checked under the hood to see whats up, and i came across the n75 Ticking very loudly, and as i place my finger upon it, it shakes too with the ticking, obviously lol... could it be a bad n75? or is something blocking it

edit: also came new two codes, Says fuel trim too Rich on both banks 1/2

Are you sure the N75 was ticking? I know the n80 purge valve will tick. It is pictured here:



The N75 is to the upper left corner of the circled item with the orange electrical plug.

100% sure it was the N75, you could feel it, and hear it

It sounds like it is the n75.

Find someone local with a n75 J valve and see if thats the problem.

ok, update: placed the stock n75 valve back on, same problem.... same boost 6 lbs.. im going to reset the battery and clear the codes then try one more time, other than that i would have to change the o2... the old n75 is not ticking so i guess it somewhats solved the problem

ok, fixed the psi problem, running 20 strong... only thing is, still getting CEL for B1/B2 S1/S2 Circuitry failure... any ideas? there both brand new
