Which wheel sizes should i get 18 or 19 inch ..

Yes i stole this from someone in the B5 section lol.

I live in NJ, roads suck! Pot holes everywhere and i will be dropped on stasis Street Sports. I will not be slammed or tucked .. but i will be close to it.

I just want someone thought before i buy rims and end up making a thread venting because i bent or cracked a rim.

You can't put a price on peace of mind...

    Hence my vote for 18".

Either way you'll have to be careful not F up your new stuff, but the 18" should be more forgiving :)

It's Street Sports. Not Super Street. Unless they've released a new product that I do not know about.

this was what i want thinking .. but most of the guys here have 19s and i wonder how they do it ..

its very hard to avoid pot holes around here since our potholes have potholes in them .

Re: Which wheel sizes should i get 18 or 19 inch ..

I was in NYC during christmas, and my god!!! the roads... indeed even the potholes have potholes....

I think it depends on how u use your car. If you use it as your daily driver in NYC you need the 18'' if you're using it less often the 19'' (just 4 the looks)

Is there a lot of difference in comfort between the 18'' and 19'' on normal roads? I'm thinking about getting 19'' also.

go hard or go home =).....get something forged maybe... ??I live in NJ also and i have no problems with my 19' wheels thus far. I bent one of my stock 17's but i hit a pothole going at about 85-90 which gave me a flat tire too.

IMO 18's just dont fill out well unless your are low. with 19's your just have to be a bit more careful thats all. Please stay out of NYC haha those roads SUCK...i learned my lesson the hard way, luckily i had my stocks on but i had to hit every bump at an angle to avoid bottoming out

I live right next to newark and I'm always in and out of there, try to avoid certain parts of 21 because they've got some really BAD holes, but nothing really bad that comes to mind other than that

It sounds like you are a wheel/suspension pussy, so I suggest you go with 18's with a tire that has a decently tall sidewall (235/40's, 245/40's).

How do u run slammed on 19s? you just do and drive cautiously.
idk i just did .. 19s were good but i wasnt driving confortably .. i always had to avoid potholes lol but i guess its a part of rims

^ check my sig. that's how low i run on 18s and never rub/chip the fenders. 18s, even 19s, can be done...but if your roads are that bad you really won't be comfortable. I'm telling you right now, even Stasis (regarded as smooth comfortable coils) suck on bad roads. So don't let people call you a pussy, decide what's best for you. Most guys are willing to put up with anything for the right look.

oh also, with 19's the front may rub, if your low enough, under extremely sharp turns such as u-turns, but just get your fenders rolled and you'll be straight.

Nice i was looking into a set of 18' CH's for winter but i found a sweet deal on something else. Just be sure to pick the car back up in winter man, I'm super low with the stocks which is killing me right about now because i do forget sometimes and bottom out.

we're having a Dyno day in a few weeks, pretty much the same crowd from that brunswick meet. check the regionals

haha yes i do. I only run 18's in winter now because of the BBK i'm installing.19's are more than enough especially if you dont really plan on going all that low, and I only live 1 town over, so i'm pretty knowledgeable about our area. I've had no problems and I've drove in kearny, NA, bloomfield, Nutley, Wayne, Clifton, Elizabeth, Union, Hillside, Secaucus, 78 West Out to PA, Turnpike down to Philly, and a bunch of other places with no problems. OH but I Curbed a lip slightly while pulling up at a drive thru ....so watch those drive thru's i guess.

just pay a bit more attention and you'll be good. my tires are 235/35/19 fyi

If you are afriad of roads, i really think the stock s-line 18s are sweet. When the car is dropped with a low profile tire, they almost look like 19s.
