Will I have a problem with those wheels/tires on stock sport suspension?

i have been running 245 30 20 for some time know I was told by a rep at tire rack on their forum that this setup is perfect as it is very close to the stock setup in total measurement.

I take it you must hate tire stretch big time. 8.5" wide wheels are bellow the minimum recommended wheel width for that tire size, just so you know...

He's wrong, 235/30-20 is the equivalent of stock. (less than 1% difference in rolling diameter). 245/30-20 is almost 2% larger.

You're right but no one stocks that tire and only a few companies even make it. I wanted that size but it was hard to come by.

Thanks for the info. I suppose he's running an aftermarket suspension. Will that make a difference, other than rubbing against the fenders (potentially) ?

When I got under the car, I saw this metal bar running from the hub area to the top of the wheel arch. I take it that it's an upper control arm, correct? There's only like slightly less than 2cm of room to spare between the tire/lip of the rim and the metal bar. I'm currently running 18x8 ET43 wheels. Will 245 tires be too wide and rub against the metal bar if I run those 19x9 ET35 rims on stock sport suspension?
