Odd squealing noise when heat is on

Hey guys my car has started making a weird squealing noise while my heat is on. The noise isn't always there though. Generally after about 10 min. or so the noise will start up. Once it has started it is NOT constant and it doesn't increase or decrease in volume if I turn the fun up or down. When I turn the fan off though the noise is gone.

Any ideas?

I could only really think of two scenarios first the fan is hitting the housing, but then the volume or frequency would change when adjusting the fan. Second there is something in my vents that is being moved around or something when air contacts it.

Your blower fan, behind the glove box isn't lubed still. Oil it up and your good

I used WD40 the first time i tried it, but the noise came back after a month or two. The second time i used some 3 in 1 oil we had at the house, seems to be holding up pretty well. No noise since

It only makes the noise for the first 5 minutes while making a left turn only.

hahaha i have that problem too.. i noticed it got louder when i opened the glove compartment .. im guessing it is the fan behind there.. ill try lubing it.. hope that works!

Yeah mine does it around right hand turns. It's really annoying.

thats odd, id think its just with the fan speed, not car speed, i used 3-1 oil, sound came back, i think!!! not sure, i think i hear it for a second, turn the music down, and its not there anymore...fcuker keeps playing a game on me i think...but lube it from behind the glove box, and from the cabin filter area.

so u dont have to drop the glovebox and pull out the whole assembly to lube it? i need to do mine as well.. was thinking silicone spray would be the best bet since u guys havent had lasting effects with wd40 or 3-1 oil

I have this same issue. It is more pronounced when I turn left. Also, if I turn the fan speed up it goes away.

I am going to try some Mobil 1 synthetic spray lube on mine.
