    how to clean exhaust tips edge...

    so since having my testpipe... the edge of my exhaust tips are black and i can't seem to get em clean. tried degreaser. how can i clean this.. will a regular stainless steel cleaner work?

    just buy some metal polish, something suited to the metal. I used the turtle wax one, works fine on the stock tips.

    I use Nevr-Dull wadding polish. Works decent

    turtle wax chrome polish it . works everytime for me looks brand new...just use a cloth or some paper towels.

    a diluted solution of simple green is great for cleaning tips and wheels. however, it's pretty strong stuff. i wouldn't suggest leaving it on your car long, and don't get it all over your car either. stick to just the wheels and the exhaust tips when using simple green. also, do the wheels and tips first, then rinse, then wash the rest of your car.


    use one of these brushes to make things go easier, they fit easily between most spokes, and can also fit inside the exhaust tips:

    I use mothers chrome/metal polish. It works wonders. I take a wax applicator pad and just go to town. They never get dirty on both my cars. When I was I go over it with spray wax between application of chrome/metal polish.

    yeah i guess it did. lol

    anyways... it used to get pretty black before my testpipe and i was able to get it off with just soap and water. no problem. after testpipe.. it doesn't come off.

    that brush that pinksock recommended i have. the outer part of the tips clean off no problem... i'm talking about the edge that you see from the rear only. i'll try to stainless pot/pan cleaner and see if it works
