    Question Strange water noise coming from the trunk

    Tried searching this, but came up with nothing. Every time I start my car I have a weird water noise coming from the passenger side of my trunk. The sound lasts about 5-10 seconds and sounds like water rushing through a pipe. Its pretty loud and noticeable. Any ideas on what it might be?

    Believe it's your fuel pump. I remember reading something about the way our trunks are shaped you hear that when the car starts. I have it too, did some searching cause I was concerned about found it was nothing to worry about.

    it is your fuel moving in the tank. dont worry about it it is normal

    it sounds stupid though, like a 93 Chevy surburban sound

    Maintenance done: T-belt kit, front axles, fixed exhaust leak. Amsoil flush, Amsoil 5-40 Audi spec. Hitachi E.

    Mine does it too. I notice it most on warm restarts. I don't think it is anything to worry about.

    I had no idea they were supposed to do that. And I thought mine was the only one with weird noises haha

    Now I just need to find the cricket noise coming from my dash when I turn the a/c or heat on high...hmmph.

    "crazy gizmos" that weigh more.

    About that "cricket noise", it's probably a fan motor for the heat/AC.
