Should the fog lights be able to be turned on if your not using the headlights? Every other vehicle I've had you were able to use just the fogs when you needed them. I have halogen headlamps and no auto on. I'm thinking I have a bad switch?

    Re: Fog lights?

You need to modify the switch to do so. Not that hard; takes about 5 minutes

    Re: Fog lights?

I was wondering the same thing this weekend. I have a B6 S4 and I was driving through some fog and I noticed that I could not turn on my fogs unless I switched the lights from Auto to manual mode. Seems weird that you cannot turn on the fogs in Auto mode. Guess i will just have to rig the switch.

    Re: Fog lights?

I recently did the switch mod on my B7 Avant and no Vag was required.

I decided to jumper the pins and cover the end of the one pin rather than cut the wire behind the switch.

Took 5 minutes, now I can run fogs with parking lights independent of the headlights, except in Auto Mode.
