    Hey Ed- thanks for the comments. Im using my simple but fun Canon Rebel Xt- adorned with twin-battery grip and Canon 28-135mm IS zoom lens(image stabilizer on) wasnt using a tripod. Hardly an amateur here- it's just a hobby!

    Well, I wanted to go for a nice relaxed drive up to the crest (ya know, wanting to be near nature LOL) Had my hot coffee in my cup holder, nice music, and 45-55 mph cruise along the twisties- then I came up on one of the vista point that had these amazing cloud backdrop and the rising sun-and wet pavement- what more could you ask? lol

    SoCalS4Avant- sure! gimme your text number and Ill text you next time i feel the itch and conditions are "perfect" (not necessarily nice) for a shoot lol.

    If rain comes this weekend, and forecast cloudy on Sunday- then i might go up again =)

    it was after 8am- its the big turnout/vista point about 2-3 miles from the Mt.Wilson intersection on the 2- about halfway to the Upper Tujunga t-intersect
