Ok I need to buy a VAG COM.

Those are generic VAG com cables. You would need to visit Ross-Tech.com and download the software. You can use the ebay cable with the software and pull codes, but you will be denied many features Ross-Tech has unless you order the licence key which is $100. Or you could get the Ross-Tech cable which has the licence key imbedded in the cable, which is a better route. There is actually one being sold in the classified right now. http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...ct=7491&cat=19. Software will still need to be downloaded, but you would not need to purchase the licence key.

most on here that go the ebay route buy the cable from alpha-bid. I've had the cable for over 2 years with no adverse effects. you will also need the program from ross-tech.com. the trial version is free but if you want the full version its 100 bucks. you can do some skillfull torrent searchign and get it that way also.

Ok so the one thats in the classified is what I should buy? If I do buy it, the only thing that I would have left to do is to download the software?
