How many of you have Corner Balanced coilovers?

I have had coilovers on my car for a few years now and have never had them corner balanced. For those of you who have had it done, did you notice a big difference in handling?

Ive wanted to do this, but as i searched everyone says its overkill on a daily driver and a waste of time and money. But i still would be interested in doing it.

I found a place that will do it for $150.00 which isn't all that bad. Even if its a daily driver it never hurts to have a car set up properly. I was just hoping that someone would chime in who has it done to their own car so I could hear about the before and after results.

Corner balance along with a proper alignement (not factory specs) has always been the one thing that made the biggest difference on handling and lap times on any car of any brand I've owned.

Re: How many of you have Corner Balanced coilovers?

It was something I thought about doing for some time too, but kept hearing that its a overkill for a DD. I also heard that corner balance is beneficial for mostly track use only. However, I went ahead and recently just got my car corner balance...Its not a major difference, but if you are really tuned into your car, you will notice it...My car does feel better in steering response; its sharper but so far this is from only aggressive street driving. I think i should see a better difference during my next track event with high speed cornering ability, and the weight transfer during braking. The question you should ask yourself is how aggressive do you driver your car daily or how often do you track you car? Personally, for the price of $150, it’s worth it.

Re: How many of you have Corner Balanced coilovers?

I did it on my Galant Vr-4 when I first installed my HotBits coilovers. The shop corner weighted and aligned the car. Huge difference in the way the car handles on the street. Paid close to $300 including taxes and what not but well worth it. If you're going to install coilovers and not do an alignment and corner weight then you might as well keep the stock suspension.

Thanks for the input guys, I do about 4-6 track days a year so it looks like I will go ahead and get it done then.

Re: How many of you have Corner Balanced coilovers?

How do you even truely corner balance a car that's using rubber bushings all around, non adjustable control arms and drop links? It's a waste of money for a street car in my opinion.

Re: How many of you have Corner Balanced coilovers?

$150 seems really cheap. When I had my s4 done (corner balanced with a wheel alignment) it was a 3-4hour operation (I sat in the drivers seat for most of it). You wont feel much difference on public roads unless you drive like a dick. On the track, handling is more crisp and your S4 pig will feel much lighter.

That is dirt cheap. A proper corner balance is going to be like you said 3-4 hours at a minimum.
