    Here's my plan...

    1) test my 2.8 for supercharging capability
    if it passes then supercharge
if not the Im going to get a d2 a8 (hit) off craigslist and do a complete 4.2 swap.

    2) 4.2 fenders front and quarters, but in carbon fiber (already purchased a vacuum bagger to do the cf work and fiberglass for the mold casting)

    3) Recaros (already have em waiting)

    4) coilovers

    5) b7 rs4 wheels (already have em waiting)

the car has 177k on it so selling and buying a 4.2 isnt really all too worth it considering I already have most of the stuff on hand, I've seen more than a handful of a8's for sale for less than 1800 around here, so i should theoretically be set.

Sounds like a shit ton of work. Good luck and keep us updated. I have a 4.2 and I'd be interested if you make some decent fenders. Good luck

How were you going to make the HP24 tranny fit in the shell? That 2.7/2.8 shell has the mold for the smaller HP19 tranny.

nope wont fit at all, but there are several who do, such as the 6 speed from an s4 which, coincidently bolts up directly to the 4.2 ;]
