Is this a symptom of a CAT going bad?

    History:
So I have had a boost leak problem with my car for a while...i had a apr chip then I went into limp mode and thought it was my turbo so I put in a brand new oem k04 and a fmic...and the car was still in limp mode...then I played with the hoses and then it started boosting to 15psi and gradually droping to 10 then I replaced the N75 valve and put in a catch can and now the car is only boosting to 10psi but still doesn't hold boost, no power.

Problem: Then the other day I noticed an exhaust leak...(I guess I didn't torque down the cat to turbo bolts down correctly) and the car would choke for a second when I rev'd it and you can see some smoke coming out from the engine bay from the exhaust...and it smells bad so is my CAT bad? and I hear that maybe causing my car to boost only 10lbs?

So if I put in my test pipe I have in my back seat (installed by an exhaust shop so they can torque it down properly) do you guys think that will solve my problem or is my CAT ok and I smell something else that's not letting my car boost?

You might have possibly destroyed your gasket inbetween which could cause some poblems. I'm also assuming that you have a upgraded DV?

your cat melted down, happens when you drive with misfires, explains the exhaust leak and the high back pressure, are you hearing any popping out of the intake??

I thought I heard some popping but I didn't have a CEL for misfires so I didn't think my coil packs went bad and same for my CAT, no CEL so I didn't think anything was wrong...is it common to get misfires and a bad CAT without the CEL coming on or the computer recognizing ?

Im having kinda the same problem. lack of power and its boosting less than 5pds when before was boosting 18-20pds. I noticed that there was oild inside the intercooler and the hose that conects from the intercooler to the trottle body. Is this normal? now, I dont really now if my turbo went bad, or there's actually a boost leak somewhere that any mechanic can't find
