My friend is buying a TT tomorrow and I have no idea of the value of these things or reliability.

    2005 TT 3.2 quattro auto S-line roadster

    22500 miles

    28k out the door

It's silver and she is about to go write the dealership a check for it. Considering she is also ordering a brand new 3.0T (supercharged) a6 at the same time, what do you guys think of the price?

wow 2 cars! I think that price is a bit high, but hey if she likes the car let her get it! It's a looker and it seems like money isn't much of a concern if she's just gonna write a check.

yea they aren't willing to budge at all though. It is cpo warranty and a lease return. Sounds amazing for being all stock though. Yes, money isn't a huge issue, but still want to get her a decent deal.

BTW the new a6 is sweet! especially with the two tone interior!

    - Check service records. Should have a couple.
    - Ask if the Cluster has been changed: it will probably fail.
    - Make sure you VAG it and get a read on the initial set of codes. Just a benchmark.
    - Tire wear: look for alignment wear, especally in the rear.
    - The Haldex filter and oil should have been changed 15K, then every 20K after that. Make them prove it to you. They must be able to show the PNs on a work order for the filter and oil, and it is expensive.
    - Make a copy of THIS LIST and keep it handy.
    - Scan this at the AW TT Forum and keep your butt dyno sensitive.

I have 120K on my 2001 TTQC. I track it, drive it often to/from work, and love it dearly. Like any Audi, it requires an informed operator behind the wheel.

OBTW- silver is THE fastest color!

umm I would hold off and get a 225hp 1.8T or wait another year and get a 2.0T. Unless she likes to keep her cars bone stock and doesn't care about power then get the 3.2

Re: Going to buy an 05 TT tomorrow.. suggestion?

I'm taking location (California?) may be the reason why this 05 price is a little high versus what the same model in Florida is going for. S-line, 3.2, DSG, the top of the line TT, but $28K out the door..WOW. I recently bought an 04 S-line, 3.2, DSG for $17.5K with 36K miles. I bought an extended warranty but still kept it under $20K. Not squashing your friends deal, but don't let your her spend big bucks, when there are deals to be made. Remember, dealers are HURTING right now, so the deal is in your hands. Hope this message is not to late. Post pics when she gets it. Good Luck, and hope the deal woks out.

P.S. InTTruder, those rims are kicking!!! What are they? I'm still contemplating the 18x8 Axis Decades to get the staggered look...your thoughts?

I really like the decades. Mine are out of stock, and I'm looking at the Axis Halo or Decade as my next set. These are close to 3 y/o, ICW too!

You'll like the staggered Axis setup. Simple and clean.

roadsters are more expensive... 10k miles less than what you bought your car with, audi CPO not any extended warranty and maintenance. that's what brings the price up to 25k+ tax. I posted pics in another thread, but I'll ad them to here later as well.
