ST Suspensions coilover install w/ pics

Just installed a set of ST suspenstion coilovers on the USP and I am pretty impressed. ST is owned by KW and the coils I got are their galvanized version of the KW variant 1. They were shipped by KW North America, have a lifetime warranty and are backed by US tech support. Here are a few pics prior to, during and after the install. Enjoy.

How does it ride compared to the sport suspension? Is it a lot stiffer?

Ride quality is great. I had 61K on the stock dampers and I think they were about shot. It's not worse that's for sure but the car handles like a beast.

Install took 7 hours with 2 buddies and more than a few beers (it was a relaxed install for sure). We has compressor tools which made all the difference I think. The Wheels are VMR V708s in gunmetal and the offset and such required no adjustment/spacers. I went with the Goodyear F1 all season in 235/35/19 because I was curious about the carbon fiber sidewall. Overall, the entire setup is very rewarding.

Best part of it all! $685 on holiday special. I live the southeast so minimal/no currosion issues given the galvanized housing. With the lifetime warranty, I couldn't resist.

For those of you worried about the install. It really isn't that hard. Took me and a buddy about 4 hours with lunch somewhere in there and no air tools. Just follow Martini's guide on A4mods, and if your C/O's come with instructions use those in conjunction.

I agree, save your self some loot. We had a little trouble with the tie rods, but not much.

We decided to guestimate the setting prior to install. Once on, we had nailed the rears but we low in the front. There was no rubbing or anything but she was dumped. The fronts were very easy to adjust; we simply loosened the allen screw that locks the adjuster down and cranked them up equally with the provided wrench.

the easiest thing to use is the clear silicone spray. i have been using it on my coils for several years and it helps keep things clean and easy to move if needed.

That lift is awesome. Brag all you want, I'm not hating. I am at 25 inches on all four corners give or take a few millimeters here and there.
