Putting LCD cluster in a NON-LCD Car

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have talked to a lot of people about what years have the LCD cluster and who doesn't. I don't and I just wanted to know if I have the plugs for this and what would I have to do to make it work?
    Thanks!

Can't work. Buy a newer car if you want it. Prob won't work anyways. The lcds are highly unreliable

Theres more than just the plugs... the display is controlled by the cars computer, your computer is different. Plus the wiper control is different, as it has controls for the display on it.

You'd be looking at a bunch of money and alot of wiring thats not in your car.

    Not worth it.

seen a few people do it. More work that its worth imo for a little lcd screen that the pixels are gonna go out on anyways.

Can be done, but is it worth the time?

You'll need to replace the complete dash harness, as it's different.
You'll need to find a cluster that doesn't have dead pixels.
You'll need to replace the wiper stalk.
You'll need to fit bulb-out monitor / control unit, and rewire as required.
You may need to fit screen wash bottle with low level indicator.

A lot of work, both in terms of parts and labor, for very little benefit.

I almost had it all figured out but said "to hell with it" as I was trying to find a unit w/out dead pixels.

However, if you like the newer style white back-light and digital clock, you can acquire a non-DIS unit.
