    deductable for warranty work???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
ok so I just got my car back from the dealer for some small work and was charged a $50 deductable for warranty work. The car is out of base warranty and under the audi cpo warranty. I had a small coolant leak that they replaced the lower radiator hose and also had the head light switch replaced. The $50 was on the bill as a misc charge but when asked about it was told its my deductable.

    Has anyone heard of this????

Yes, once you are into CPO territory, all warranty service has a deductable. $50usd I believe per visit, and $100cdn up here. Annoying on a hose replacement, but no so bad on a major failure.

Yep I've had the same charge for CPO work on my car... I guess you need to make sure you take it in for atleast a $50 dollar problem..

Just had my serpentine belt tensioner replaced (had to pull off the front bumper) and they only charged $50 deductable here in Toronto

It's $85 if car was purchased after 11-1-08. I had a coolant code this week but they could not find any problem, at least the did not charge me the $50 and gave me a 3.2 mt6 tt for a couple of days. Fun car.

See if you can buy your deductable down (depends on your plan). I paid $100 to buy my deductable down to ZERO. Money well spent? :)
